Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my writing desk.

This is where I'll be sharing any updates and important information for my debut novel, Sate The Flesh. Today, I'll be exploring some of the basics about this book, including a short excerpt of the first chapter in progress. I hope you enjoy it!

For fans of Brom’s Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery and Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s Mexican Gothic comes Ryn Wylde’s debut novel Sate the Flesh: a gothic folk horror and supernatural romance in which an outcasted young woman inherits a crumbling manor, and binds herself to the demon who haunts it.

In the autumn of 1847, Theodora Langmore’s obedient life in a forgotten corner of New England fractures when her lineage awakens something far older—and far darker—than the village itself.

Oppressed by rigid expectations, Theodora has buried her curiosity beneath piety. But when she steps into her late grandfather’s decaying estate, she enters a world where whispers follow her, shadows shift when she stands still, and a figure she’s glimpsed only in dreams walks the halls. The manor stirs an arcane inheritance inside her, and forbidden desire begins to bloom between her and the entity she’s bound to.

Yet the true danger may not be the demon in the manor, but the village that never forgets a sin—and the part of Theodora which no longer wants to be saved. As faith and restraint unravel, she must choose whether sovereignty is worth damnation.
